Tehran - Information and Communication Technology News Agency (ICTna): Iran's WiMax services license winners were announced after the pocket opening in 3rd November.
"40 bids were sent to the radio communication office from six companies that 2 companies from Hormozgan and Yazd province were not technically and commercially qualified so they didn't meet expectations and withdraw from the auction .Thus 4 companies included Irancell, Espadan, Paya Communications Industries and Rayane Danesh after getting the technological and business points reached to the final stage." Mahdigholi, radio communications regulatory office development manager and supporting affairs said.
Irancell and Paya communications Industries with the 31.5 billion Toomans bid got the WiMax services license in Tehran province. License base price for Tehran province had been valuated 21 billion Toomans bye radio communications office.
Mahdigholi declined to say the license bid price and continued: the average bids price was 20 percent more than the price that was set by regulatory.
Paya communications Industries with the overall 106 billion Toomans bid price was successful in getting the WiMax services license in all province. Irancell in Tehran, Azarbaijan sharghi, Esfahan, Khorasan Razavi, Fars and Khuzestan province , Espadan In Esfahan and Rayane Danesh in Golestan were successful in getting the WiMax services license.
He attributed the auction trend as satisfactory and said they are please with the competition between bidders for the first time the country.
"we hope winner by their agreeable operations meet people's demand and offer best services." He said.
