Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Reza Naghipour on Tuesday expressed Iran’s readiness to provide Afghanistan with its telcom and IT experiences in order to help that country with its development prpgram.
He made the remarks in a meeting with his visiting Afghan counterpart Amir Zii Sangin in Tehran.
Naghipour said Iran as a bridge connecting West to the East and North to South can ease telecom traffic from this region to other parts of the world.
He expressed Iran’s readiness to provide Afghanistan with advanced telecom equipment and softwares.
The Minister pointed to postal cooperation, establishment of a telecom training center and providing Afghanistan with optic fiber cables as some areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Sangin welcomed expansion of professional cooperation with Iran and appreciated the Iranian government and nation for assisting Afghanistan.
He described Iran as a developed country in the field of telecommunication and information technology and proposed his counterpart to help Afghans establish a telecom training center.
