Shatel Group launches MVNO in Iran

Shatel Group has started offering MVNO services in Iran and is now available in 600 cities throughout the country. The service is called Shatel Mobile and it is not clear whether the SIM will be sold outside Iran, Financial Tribute reported.  Shatel CEO Arash Karimbeigi said Shatel Mobile SIMs can be used for conducting phone calls, texting, and accessing the internet at relatively low cost.
Shatel charges its subscribers less than the two other main operators, Irancell and Mobile Communication Company of Iran. However, RighTel, the third mobile operator, offers the cheapest services among the major players, said Financial Tribune. Just like other operators, Shatel offers contract and pay-as-you-go SIM cards.
